Who we are looking for
Legit Law advises clients arriving from Europe, the Middle East and China on legal, immigration, investment and property matters in Türkiye. Our work is conducted largely in English, Chinese and Turkish, and our clients judge us on precision and judgement rather than volume. That shapes the kind of colleague we hire: careful, curious, and comfortable being given responsibility early.
Positions
Open positions
Both positions are based at our Istanbul office. Applications are reviewed as they arrive, and the openings close once filled.
Lawyer
Starting positionFull-time · Istanbul, Türkiye
For a lawyer at the beginning of their career who wants to work directly with international clients rather than queue behind files.
What you will do
- Draft contracts, agreements and client correspondence in English and Turkish
- Research Turkish commercial, corporate, immigration and property law
- Prepare and follow up applications at registries, notaries and public authorities
- Attend client meetings and explain complex points in plain language
- Carry company formation, residence and citizenship files through to completion
What we would like to see
- A law degree, with bar admission in Türkiye or the eligibility to obtain it
- Candidates qualified in other jurisdictions are welcome to apply
- Working English and Turkish at a professional drafting level; Chinese is a strong advantage
- Careful written work and the habit of checking sources before advising
- Willingness to be given responsibility before you feel entirely ready

Legal Intern
Paid internshipFull-time or part-time · Istanbul, Türkiye
A paid position for a law student or recent graduate who wants to see how international client work actually runs.
What you will do
- Research and short memoranda on Turkish legal and regulatory questions
- Compare and mark up contracts, corporate documents and translations
- Prepare and organise client files, applications and supporting documents
- Follow up with registries, notaries, banks and public authorities
- Support English and Chinese content, translation and client communication
What we would like to see
- Currently studying law or recently graduated
- Fluent English and Turkish at a professional level; Chinese is a strong advantage
- Organised, discreet and comfortable with detail
- Able to commit for a defined period at our Istanbul office
- Interest in cross-border, investment or immigration work

Work that is visible
A small office means your drafting, research and judgement reach the people who make decisions, without a layer of review in between.
International clients early
Clients arrive from London, Dubai, Shanghai and Frankfurt with matters spanning residency, company formation, property and investment.
Three working languages
English, Chinese and Turkish are used daily. Language ability is treated here as a professional asset, not an extra.
Direct mentorship
You work beside the lawyer handling your matters and receive feedback on the actual work, not a generic review.
